Professor Evan Gilbert is an Associate Professor in Finance at the University of Stellenbosch’ School of Business (USB). Previously he taught financial economics in the Department of Economics at the University of Stellenbosch and corporate finance at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business (GSB). He has a PhD in Corporate Finance from the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School. He has published widely in both local and international journals. He was the president of the Southern African Finance Association from 2007-2010. He has also worked for various investment management companies in a research and portfolio management role.
