: William Tyndale, Part 4: An Enduring Legacy of the Word
On this Memorable Monday, Rocky Stevenson Pastor of Benoni Bible Church concludes our four-part journey through the life of William Tyndale. Though cut down at the stake in 1536, Tyndale’s work still lives — shaping the English Bible, influencing the English language, and fueling the Reformation. From the Great Bible and the Geneva Bible to the King James Version, his words echo in our Bibles and even in everyday speech. More than a translator, he was a theologian who clarified the gospel for common people, emphasizing faith alone, Scripture’s authority, and the priesthood of all believers. His legacy challenges us today: to give thanks for the Word in our language, to remain faithful in our callings, to open the Scriptures daily, and to join the mission of bringing God’s Word to every tongue. As Isaiah 40:8 reminds us, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” #LetsTalk #MemorableMonday #WilliamTyndale #BibleLegacy #FaithfulUntoDeath #TheWordEndures #ChurchHistory #RockyStevenson
