The fishing conditions have been tough lately due to heavy rains and dirty water, especially in areas like KZN. The north coast has been difficult, with rough seas and dirty water, resulting in limited catches. However, the lower south coast has seen some success, with sharks, flatfish, and a few tuna being caught, despite the muddy water. Our expert Dean Dickenson advises on using lures with rattles or adding bait rattles and using larger, smelly baits in dirty water.
