Heathfield principal Neumann case postponed
--:--
The Labour Court has granted Heathfield High school principal Mr Wesley Neumann an urgent court interdict to stop the Western Cape Education Department (WCED)'s disciplinary hearing against him which was set to commence today. It was a "small victory for Neumann" as the department would not oppose the interdict. Neumann is taking the WCED to court to challenge the appointment of the Head of Education, Brian Schreuder. The Western Cape government’s decision to extend Schreuder’s contract has been deemed irregular by the Public Service Commission.
