Beirut explosion: LIVE crossing to Beirut
--:--
Beirut has been rocked by a massive explosion, which has left hundreds of injured in its wake.
There have been highly conflicting and vague initial explanations over the cause of the Beirut explosion but it appears to have been centred on the city's port area. Around 400 injured people have been taken to the emergency unit. The blast caused considerable damage to the Baabda Palace, the official residence of Lebanese president and also shattered the windows of homes, stores and unhinged doors.
