Fazila Malek allegedly dismisses proposed business rescue plan by concerned parties

Earlier this month, the South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) announced that travel operator Fazila Malek had been barred from acting as a hajj operator. This came after a disciplinary inquiry held against Malek. As we know, Fazila Malek has come under severe pressure following widespread claims where it emerged that she allegedly owes at least 4 million Rand in loans and fees to Muslims who have booked with her travel agency. Malek has persistently denied allegations of defrauding Muslims and has previously told us on this show that the clients need to be patient as she has made alternative arrangements to pay back the money, she owes to them. To date, nothing has come to fruition. The man leading the charge against Fazila Malek is Mr Muhammad Mayet from Johannesburg, he joins us now to give us an update on this story.
