Mothers to Mothers to help give children a flying start

Not every child gets the flying start in life they deserve. In South Africa, health challenges such as exposure to HIV, poor nutrition and a lack of parental education can easily block a successful take off for many infants and toddlers.
On Universal Children’s Day, an organisation called Mothers2mothers in conjunction with British Airways’ Flying Start, visited the Town II Community Health Centre in Khayelitsha to launch a special project yesterday. Infants and toddlers who are part of the mothers2mothers early childhood development programme got an early Christmas present, when British Airways donated R100 000 to provide educational toys.
