SAA strike impact on tourism

Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan met unions striking at South African Airways yesterday in an effort to resolve a strike over wages that has entered its 6th day. The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa and the South African Cabin Crew Association are demanding an 8% wage increase, no job cuts and the insourcing of employees. The cash-strapped airline has offered an increase of 5.9%. What will be the impact on the tourism industy, particularly for Cape Town?
