The decision to hire a non-halal certified catering company by the school governing body at the Western Cape Sporting School has angered a group of parents who believe the rights of muslims pupils have been violated. The details around the non- halaal status came to light after a students noticed that the new company supplying daily meals to boarding scholars did not have any halal certificate on display and immediately informed his parents about the issue when one of the workers brushed off his inquiry.
