Being Green - 14 June 2019

John Richards and David Parry-Davies, Director of The Eco-Logic Awards
World Environment Day saw the culmination of the Eco-Logic Awards with a gala presentation. The award finalists (and the sponsors) were the stars of the show, and the newly appointed National Minister of Environmental Affairs, Forestry and Fisheries showed government recognition with her attendance – and in fact her first public speech in the job. She probably felt a little nervous with all the green fire-power in the audience, people who daily grapple with the realities, and know intimately what challenges they’re up against. But she made encouraging remarks which bode well for environmental government, a tough portfolio.
