Analysis: International condemnation of Saudi Arabia's plans to execute three well-known scholars

The recent news of Saudi Arabia execution plans of three well-known Salafi scholars has sparked International condemnation. With the United Nations, several prominent rights groups, including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International criticizing the oil-rich country.
The three individuals include Sheikh Salman al-Awdah an internationally known Islamic scholar, Awad al-Qarni a preacher, academic and author and Ali al-Omari a popular broadcaster
They were arrested in September 2017 during an alleged anti-corruption operation by Saudi Authorities along with dozens of prominent figures and are at the Criminal Special Court in the capital, Riyadh awaiting trial on multiple charges of "terrorism".
