I said a bit flippantly last week that some of our environmental-related hassles seem to be recycled – like the Eskom load-shedding business, which is on hold at the moment – fingers crossed. But the Eskom woes are far from over – in fact they may just be beginning. Certainly in President Ramaphosa’s gunsight. More of that in just a moment.
I don’t think South Africa is doing at all well in comparison with other African countries when it comes to energy. From being the leaders in industry, mining, technology, electrification – we’re really battling now and there are bad stats when it comes to pollution and greenhouse-gas emissions.
