Yesterday The City of Cape Town advised athaan at Masjidus Sauligeen in Bayview Strandfontein be switched back on. This after the City met with met with representatives of the masjid and the Muslim Judicial Council about the complaint against the sound disturbance of its daily call to prayer.
This City also clarified details of the letter issued to the Imam of the masjid instructing the masjid "discontinue alleged noise nuisance, caused by the loudspeakers".
