SA national crime statistics reveal an increase in the country's murder rate

According to the latest national crime statistics released in Parliament earlier this week, an average of 57 people is murdered in South Africa per day.
The figures also revealed that contact crime at 10 stations in the province had increased including Nyanga and Mitchells Plain listed among the top 3. The criminal offences include murder, attempted murder, and assault.
