The recent events of sporadic protest action in the Western, has brought to light the challenges facing communities. They want government to provide land for housing and are frustrated about the delays for especially those that have been on the housing waiting list for many years.
As a result of the protest MEC Bonginkosi Madikizela from the Western Cape Human Settlements department meet with the different communities to discuss a possible "lasting solution" to end the problem of housing in the province.
