Sexual Violence and Universities approach to rape on campus questioned

The way in which some Universities address cases of rape that occur on campus have had human rights activist voicing concerns about the lack of urgency from University to address and support victims of gender based violence. This comes after a student from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) who was raped in a toilet alleged that University officials failed to inform her family about the incident.
