Choose to Keep Peace this Christmas Season.

Sibongile Mofokeng welcomes Rev and Adv, Rufus Malatji and they are talking about Choose to Keep Peace this Christmas Season. Choosing peace during the Christmas season is a conscious act of centering one's heart on the "Prince of Peace," as prophesied in Isaiah 9:6, who came to offer a restorative calm that the world cannot provide. While the holidays often bring a whirlwind of expectations and busyness, we are invited to mirror the response of the shepherds who heard the angelic declaration of "peace on earth" (Luke 2:14) by pausing to behold the Saviour. This peace is maintained when we "let the peace of Christ rule in [our] hearts" (Colossians 3:15) and actively choose to "not let [our] hearts be troubled" (John 14:27), trusting that the same God who orchestrated the Nativity is in control of our current circumstances. By casting our anxieties upon Him through prayer, we experience the "peace of God, which transcends all understanding" (Philippians 4:7), allowing us to navigate the season with a steadfast mind and a spirit of grace toward ourselves and others.
