The 4th YouMatterWalk 2025 will take place on Saturday, 13 September 2025, at the Big Red Barn in Olifantsfontein, south of Irene and east of Midstream on the M18. Founded by three women—Christia, Ilse, and Carla—who were touched by suicide loss, the event aims to send a powerful message to the world that "You Matter." The initiative encourages open conversations about struggles with suicidal thoughts, working to crush the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide. Participants can choose to walk distances of 2.5km, 5km, or 10km to raise awareness and offer hope. Several NGOs like Lifeline and SADAG will be present to provide support and resources, alongside trained counselors walking with participants.
