Matthew 11:22 and Romans 10:17 remind us that 'faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.' True faith is birthed and sustained only through the Word of God because His Word is His covenant. God never forgets His promises. In Luke 13:16, we see Jesus ministering from His covenant with God. Just as our Lord believed and lived by His covenant, we too, as His followers, are called to minister from that same covenant. If Jesus, our Master, lived this way, so must we. We are His imitators, His disciples, and we are to follow in His footsteps."
