World Suicide Prevention Day is commemorated on the 10th September and promotes worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicide. According to SADAG, in South Africa 9% of all teen deaths are due to suicide. Children as young as 7 have committed suicide in South Africa. We discuss why suicide is on the increase.
