This past weekend, Stacey Norman finally had the opportunity to travel to Cape Town and be reunited with her family. The effects the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the world, whether it be financial, mental, or emotional, has been well documented. For Stacey, whose family is based in her hometown of Cape Town, the hardest part of the lockdown has been the emotional toll of not being able to visit family and friends. As of today, Monday the 29th of September, South Africa has been under lockdown for 187 days. As soon as the President announced that the country would be moving to level 1 lockdown with the further easing of restrictions, Stacey Norman immediately booked her flight to be reunited with the Norman tribe.

There are only so many video calls and text messages that one can do says Stacey.
