Prevention of GBV and the Promotion of Women’s Wellbeing during Covid-19

Three student psychologists from UFS compiled and will be speaking about Gender Based Violence (GBV) in the Covid-19 pandemic. This podcast will be specifically zooming in on the psychological impacts of GBV on women and girls, the underlying factors that are believed to lead men to abuse women and young girls by looking at these factors from an individual, family, community, societal, and chronosystem perspective. It also addresses some of the practical strategies to mitigate GBV and finally, tips for men on how to deal with frustration and conflict during lockdown and future that may serve to prevent GBV even further and promote women’s wellbeing.
