#InternationalDogDay is celebrated to raise awareness about dog adoption and the importance of providing rescue dogs with a safe and loving environment.

KZN is known for being huge dog lovers, you just have to take a walk in the neighbourhood to see owners and runners have a brisk or light jog with their furry friends. Another favourite is the beach fronts and dog friendly parks. On Wednesday morning, Stacey and JSbu asked their Facebook community to share pictures of their 'bundles of joy' and within minutes the Facebook page became doggie town.

Tanya who is the Marketing Manager at the Durban SPCA has requested for fellow dog lovers to consider adopting a dog rather then buying one.
