Book Review: The Odyssey of the Oromo slaves form Ethiopia to South Africa
--:--
Today we review The Odyssey of the Oromo slaves form Ethiopia to South Africa. In 1888 the British navy intercepted two shipments of Oromo children who had been enslaved in Ethiopia. A year later, sixty four of these children were sent to Lovedale Institutions, a Free Church of Scotland mission in Eastern Cape, South Africa. We are now joined by Author and professional academic research librarian in African studies Sandra Rowoldt Shell.
