We continue with our Weekly Africa Report and today we look at the European Union's renewed sanctions against the chosen successor of outgoing Congolese president Joseph Kabila, barely two weeks before the historic election.
Elsewhere, the Burundian government have issued warrant of arrest for former president Pierre Buyoya. Buyoya, who came into power through a coup in 1987 is widely blamed for the death of first democratic Hutu President Melchior Ndadaye.
