The City of Cape Town has relaxed its water usage from 50 litres to 70 litres per person per day and is expected to drop water restrictions from Level 6B to Level 5 come October 1, 2018. After a devastating drought, the province's dams are now at 68 percent storage capacity. For an analysis on the decision, VOC Drive Time presenter, Shafiq Morton, spoke to specialist in water resource management, professor Anthony Turton.
