Sandpaper Gate Saga - James Sunderland press conference

The Australian captain, Steve Smith, the vice-captain David Warner and Cameron Bancroft will be flying back to Australia tomorrow following the Sandpaper Gate ball tampering incident which took place during the third Test against South Africa at Newlands.

The players will be placed by Matthew Renshaw, Glenn Maxwell and Joe Burns for the fourth at final Test at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

Cricket Australia’s James Sunderland indicated that the investigation is still being conducted and once the findings are concluded in the next 24 hours, the Smith, Warner and Bancroft can expect further sanctions.

Sunderland cleared the coach, Darren Lehmann, of any wrong doing and he will remain the coach of the team.
