Pieter Bergh - They will have a point to prove

The Griquas have named seven debutants in their squad for Friday’s friendly against Emerging Ireland in Bloemfontein.
The Griquas will feature a brand new halfback combination with Eddie Fouché starting at flyhalf for the match, while Bobby Alexander will start in the number jersey.
The former Cheetah, Malcolm Jaer, will make his debut at fullback, while upfront, Janco Venter and Albert Liebenberg will also play their first game.
The prop Melusi Mthabela and the lock, Godfrey Muzanargwo, will both make their debuts for the team off the bench.
Griquas coach, Pieter Bergh, told OFM Sport that it will be a tough game as the Irish will have a point to prove, especially taking into account that there will be a Rugby World Cup in 2023.

Gerald Coetzee - SA20

The ITEC Knight seamer, Gerald Coetzee, looks forward to playing in the inaugural SA20 tournament next year.
The young fast bowler, who toured England with the Proteas in July for their historic 2-1 T20 International series win against the English will be playing for the Joburg Super Giants franchise.
Coetzee told OFM Sport that the SA20 is the perfect opportunity for young cricketers.

Hugo Broos - Bafana Bafana performance against Botswana

The national football coach, Hugo Broos, was happy and satisfied with his teams win against Botswana last night.
Bafana Bafana beat the Zebras of Botswana 1-0 last night thanks to a stunning goal by Teboho Mokoena from a free-kick.
Broos said they will take the win, but some of the players he fielded aren’t ready for international football.

Jean Drosté - Back at the Cheetahs

The lock, Jean Drosté, is back at the Toyota Cheetahs after a stint in Japan at the Top League side, Munakata Sanix Blues.
Drosté has been training with Cheetahs for a few months already, but he has now confirmed his return to the franchise after signing a one-year contract.
Last year Drosté had a short stint at the Cheetahs before heading to Japan for the second time in his career after previously having played for the NEC Green Rockets.
The signing of Drosté is a massive boost for the Cheetahs second-row as they have struggled with depth in the department over the past couple of years.
The 28-year-old Drosté told OFM Sport that he welcomes the strong competition in the second-row.

Munier Hartzenberg - Cheetahs debut

The new Toyota Cheetahs winger Munier Hartzenberg is excited at the prospect of making his debut for the team on Friday in the Toyota Challenge.
Hartzenberg who scored a try for the Griquas in the Currie Cup final against the Pumas has been at the Cheetahs for a few months now and he is set to play against the Bulls on Friday.
Hartzenberg’s younger brother, Suleiman, made his Stormers debut on the weekend in the URC game against Connacht in Stellenbosch.
The former Maties flyer told OFM Sport that he is excited to take to the field for his new team.

Hugo Broos - New faces to play against Botswana

Bafana Bafana will be targeting consistency when they take to the field against Botswana this evening in Johannesburg.
South Africa are confident heading into the international friendly against the Zebras following their 4-0 drubbing of Sierra Leone on Saturday.
This evening a new-look team will be fielded in order to give players some international game-time ahead of next year’s AFCON qualifiers against Liberia.
The Bafana coach, Hugo Broos, said the key is being consistent.

Tabraiz Shamsi - Playing in India

The Proteas welcome the challenge that awaits during the three-match T20 International series against India on the subcontinent.
South Africa and India will be using the series to fine-tune for the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup that will get underway next month in Australia.
When South Africa toured India in June the series was drawn 2-2, while the 5th T20 International produced a no result.
The 1st T20 International will be played tomorrow in Kerala and the spinner, Tabraiz Shamsi is expecting another thrilling series.

Charl Strydom - Frans Steyn

The Toyota Cheetahs are set to be without the Springbok Frans Steyn for Friday’s match against the Bulls in Bloemfontein.
The Cheetahs and Bulls will go head-to-head in the Toyota Challenge that will kick-off this week.
Steyn played at flyhalf for the Springboks in Durban on Saturday during their 38-21 win against Argentina.
Steyn is set to resume training with the Cheetahs this week, but the assistant coach, Charl Strydom, told OFM Sport that it’s unlikely that he will play.

Hugo Broos - Temba Zwane

The Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos, has sung the praises of the forward Temba Zwane.
This came after South Africa's impressive 4-0 drubbing of Sierra Leone at Soccer City on Saturday in their first of two international friendlies.
Broos had been reluctant to re-call the 33-year-old Zwane to the national side, however, he gave the player go on Saturday.
Zwane answered his re-call with a brace of goals and Broos said that the player could be the missing link they had been looking for.

Brad Binder - Second at Grand Prix of Japan

South Africa’s Brad Binder earned his first MotoGP podium of the season by finishing second at the Grand Prix of Japan in Motegi.
Starting 3rd on the grid, Binder managed to finish the race 3.409 seconds behind Jack Miller of Australia.
Miller won the GP in a time of 42 minutes and 23.174 seconds.
Jorge Martin of Spain completed the podium some 4.136 seconds behind Binder.
Binder said his confidence grew during the course of the race.
