Inxeba (The wound), a South African film which sparked nationwide conversation around issues of culture, initiation, circumcision, and masculinity, inspires our show this week and we are looking at the medical aspects of male circumcision (MMC). We speak to Dr. Thabani Nkwanyana and he unpacks all you need to know about MMC. In Unscience, we look at Telepresence technology, an innovation which enables one to get the experience of being somewhere without really being there. Lastly, in our new feature we speak to Biophotonics scientist, Charles Maphanga, he talks about his research which investigated the use of laser technology to administer drugs into cells.
