Celtic Corner 27 November 2017

Welcome to the weekly Celtic Corner on OFM, where we will keep you up to date with the latest news and developments within the Phunya Sele Sele camp.
It was a mixed week for Bloemfontein Celtic with the team playing in two Premier Soccer League matches. On Wednesday, Celtic, played to a goalless draw against Platinum Stars at a wet Royal Bafokeng Stadium. This result saw Celtic climbed to third in the PSL standings.
Yesterday Celtic played in front of their home crowd for the first time in quite some time in a league outing against a resurgent Orlando Pirates.
It was a real slug fest at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium, with neither side really able to stamp their authority on the match.
The deadlock was broken in the 62nd minute when the former Celtic man, Musa Nyatama, found the back of the net to hand Buccaneers a 1-0 lead.
Phunya Sele Sele won’t be losing too much sleep over the defeat as they realise that it is something that can still be replayed with more than half of the league fixtures still to be played.
For Celtic the focus is however on Cup football now, with the team facing Wits on Saturday evening in the Telkom Knockout Final.
It is the first time in five years that the Celtic are in a final after they beat Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 to clinching the 2012 Telkom Knockout title.
