More than 5000 entries have already been received for the 2017 Free State OR Tambo Marathon which will be taking place in Bloemfontein on 15 October.

This is just shy of double the entries for last years’ inaugural event.

Numerous of the top female runners from the Free State has also already entered and they include the blind T11 5000m world record holder,

Louzanne Coetzee, who will be running the half marathon in preparation for the Soweto Marathon.

Coetzee is tipped to break the T11 half world record, and she told OFM Sport that it would be amazing to achieve that where she broke 5000m record.

There are only 17 days left to enter for the event.
