Ghost security at OR Tambo International Airport

Palestinian archaeologist Abeer Ahmed Zayyad recently visited South Africa to talk about her research into Masjidul Aqsa and the Israeli excavations there. This week VOC learnt that Dr Abeer was apparently interrogated and harassed by security officials at OR Tambo International airport on her departure. Abeer and her brother were about to depart on an El Al flight to Tel Aviv when they were detained by “security officials”.
