River restriction decision rests with DWS Director-General

There have been rumours that water authorities are considering implementing restrictions along the Orange and Vaal River systems. OFM News’ agri editor Sabrina Dean spoke to Water and Sanitation spokesperson Sputnik Ratau about the situation. He says restrictions have not yet been Gazetted but that stakeholder engagements are underway. He says recommendations have been made to the Director-General of the Department, who is the one to make the final decision:
