Hello, my name is Pippa Hudson, and I'd love to be the host of your next Solid Gold podcast series. I have 30 years experience in radio broadcasting, including working in hard news journalism and hosting a lifestyle-driven talk show, which covers everything from theater, books, food, travel, and parenting to consumer news, health content, and personal finance. In addition to hosting my own show, I regularly stand in on the drive time shows on Cape Talk, where my interviews cover everything from hard news and community issues to business and political content. I work as an MC and host for panel conversations, conferences, and book launches. Recent clients include the Actuarial Society of South Africa, Go to Africa Travel, Friendship Literary Festival, City of Cape Town's Health Services, the Imdenanda Animal Clinic, and all of the major publishing houses. My previous podcasting experience includes creating and hosting the organ donor series Gift of Life, which won double gold at the inaugural SA Podcast Awards. I've also written and hosted two seasons of Sport for Dummies, a fun Cape Talk podcast about different sporting codes, and I recently launched The Intimacy Exchange, a podcast series with sex coach Nikki Brivick, examining how couples can deepen their physical and emotional connection. Outside of the broadcast environment, I've done extensive freelance work in corporate writing, including working as a publicist in the property industry, teaching radio broadcasting at a private college, doing private media training for clients, and ghostwriting speeches for a local tourism marketing body. In short, this varied experience means I am comfortable working across a wide variety of content and across different tones, from serious, factual, and balanced to warm, supportive, and curious.
