He is a former safari guide and now the self-taught chef and owner of VUUR in Stellenbosch has built an entire culinary experience around open-fire cooking. His restaurant was named the Top African Restaurant in the World's 101 Best Steak Restaurants 2025 rankings and has also been awarded two stars at the Eat Out Awards.
