SANDU is calling for an immediate independent inquiry into allegations that SANDF members training in Cuba were asked to contribute up to R15,000 each from their allowances to help needy Cuban citizens. The union is questioning who authorised the alleged collection, how the money was handled and whether soldiers felt pressured to contribute.
