A Durban mother is living every parent’s worst nightmare. Linda Govender’s 33-year-old daughter, Terricia, is among four South Africans missing after devastating flash floods struck near the Nepal-Tibet border.

Terricia had travelled alone from South Africa to take part in a spiritual pilgrimage to Mount Kailash. Now, her family is desperately waiting for any news that she is safe.

Speaking to Darren, Linda shared the heartbreaking moment she realised her daughter was missing, saying: “We never expected this… but not for this, Darren, not for this.”

As the search continues, Linda and her family are holding onto hope, prayer and the possibility that Terricia and the others will be found safe.
