Clean Up Namibia has officially hosted its pre-launch event on 6 August 2026, at Future Media in Windhoek, bringing together partners, media, environmental stakeholders, community voices and supporters around a shared call for cleaner, prouder Namibian spaces. Founded by award-winning Namibian performing artist and medical doctor Dr La-Toya “Lioness” Mwoombola-Hamutenya, clean up Namibia is a public-facing environmental movement designed to promote civic pride, responsible waste practices, environmental awareness and visible community action.
The celebrity-led, community-powered platform aims to gather Namibia’s most beloved celebrities, influencers and public figures for a clean-up in the capital city’s local constituencies.
