Mbali Rose is a South African singer-songwriter whose music blends soul, R&B, afro-indie and pop into a warm, intimate sound rooted in emotional honesty and thoughtful storytelling. Classically trained in piano from the age of eight and largely self-taught on guitar, she began writing songs as a child, inspired by a lifelong love of music and her Zulu heritage. Although she pursued a successful academic career, earning a Master's degree in Human Genetics, she spent more than eight years away from music before rediscovering her passion while living in Nashville, Tennessee. Surrounded by scientists who were also musicians, she realised creativity and intellect could thrive together, inspiring her return to music. Alongside her career as a recording artist, Mbali is a certified vocal coach dedicated to helping others find their authentic voice. Her music celebrates vulnerability, authenticity and the quiet strength found in honest self-expression.
