Agriculture is often seen as something that
happens far away from the city, but our next guest is
proving that meaningful farming can begin right in the heart
of our communities. Known as “The Seedling Guy,”
Phetole Raseropo is the founder of P Agriculture Group in
Soweto, where he is using agriculture to create
opportunities, empower young people, and inspire a new
generation of entrepreneurs.
From establishing community food gardens and school-

based agriculture programmes to create innovative
initiatives like the Ugly Potato Sale, his work goes beyond
growing confidence, creating employment and changing
the way people think about food and farming. Today, we
find out more about the man behind the movement and the
vision driving it all. Welcome to the show, Phetole.
