SA and Kenya strengthen partnership to drive African growth and integration

South Africa and Kenya have reaffirmed their commitment to closer economic ties, regional integration and a stronger African voice on the world stage. During Kenyan President William Ruto’s State Visit to Pretoria, President Cyril Ramaphosa said the two nations, as leading African economies, have a responsibility to help drive the continent’s development agenda. The visit, marked by high-level talks at the Union Buildings, builds on growing cooperation between the countries and their shared vision for Africa’s future. Phemelo unpacked the significance of the renewed partnership with Senior Research Fellow at Africa Asia Dialogues, Thembisa Fakude.
