Taxi boss Joe ‘Ferrari’ Sibanyoni walks free - for now - as prosecutor faces arrest

A dramatic twist unfolded in the Kwaggafontein Magistrates’ Court after taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni and his co-accused had extortion charges struck off the roll when state prosecutor Mkhuseli Ntaba failed to appear in court. Ntaba now faces contempt of court charges, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. The National Prosecuting Authority says the prosecutor has also been suspended pending disciplinary action.
