Tuks FM x PDBY: The Entertainment Exchange

Loading player...
Every Thursday, we host Cara Heymans, Entertainment Editor at PDBY, for a weekly scoop on entertainment, social nuances, lifestyle, and youth-based trends.

Founded in 1939, it was originally known as Perdeby before rebranding to PDBY to reflect its expansion into digital and broadcast media. The publication covers campus-specific and national news across four main sections: News, Features, Entertainment, and Sport. Tabloid-sized copies are distributed for free across all UP campuses (Hatfield, Groenkloof, Onderstepoort, Medical, and Mamelodi). Digital: Articles and full digital editions are available on the official PDBY website and via Issuu. It serves as a training ground for aspiring journalists, photographers, and editors, allowing students to gain real-world newsroom experience.
