The Weather Podcast: Episode 6 - Level 10 Warning
Loading player...
PODCAST| The South African Weather Service (SAWS) earlier on Thursday 15 January 2026 issued a Red Level 10 warning for disruptive rainfall for parts of Limpopo and Mpumalanga. This was an escalation from the Orange Level 9 warnings that have been in place over the last few days. The latest step is quite unprecedented – at least in recent history. The last time such as warning was issued was in 2022 in the case of KwaZulu-Natal. We spoke to SAWS Forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela and Odas Ngobeni, the spokesperson for the Mopani District Municipality in Limpopo for more on this developing story.
