New national water testing has painted a disturbing picture of South Africa’s water quality. The findings point to failing sewerage and wastewater systems, with contamination no longer confined to rivers but reaching homes and schools. Phemelo speaks to WaterCAN Executive Director Dr Ferrial Adam about the risks and what needs urgent fixing.
