Meet Marlene le Roux, the transformation stalwart who helms Artscape Theatre
She is the first woman of colour to take the helm at Cape Town’s biggest theatre.

Marlene Le Roux is a CEO at Artscape. In this capacity she endeavors to close the divide that exists due to the legacy of our Apartheid history. She goes to great lengths to bring people to the theatre, and when that proves difficult she takes the theatre, in the form of a fully-fledged production to the rural areas and the communities.
