HOT1027 listeners turn broken ground into safe passage for disabled children

A sanctuary for disabled children in the capital is getting a much-needed wheelchair ramp — thanks to the kindness of HOT1027 listeners.

For more than 30 years, the Baby Therapy Centre in Pretoria has helped children with severe developmental challenges take their first steps, speak their first words, and experience moments of independence that many families feared might never come.

But without a safe wheelchair ramp, staff have been forced to manoeuvre children across broken, uneven ground — creating dangerous conditions for those who already struggle to move.
