Wine of the week: Groot Constantia 2024 Sauvignon Blanc

Loading player...
Groot Constantia’s 2024 Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant white wine from South Africa’s historic Constantia region, crafted from a blend of 91% Sauvignon Blanc and 9% Semillon. The grapes are hand-picked early in the morning to preserve freshness, and after fermentation the wine is aged on the lees for several months before final preparation and bottling. The result is a crisp, elegant wine featuring tropical fruit aromas like guava and litchi, with hints of lemongrass and kiwi, balanced by energetic acidity and a clean finish. It retails for around R 210 (including VAT) in South Africa.
