Ramaphosa: DA Governs the Best Municipalities

In a rare admission, President Cyril Ramaphosa told ANC councillors that South Africa’s best-run municipalities are led by the DA. Speaking at the ANC’s “roll call” gathering in Johannesburg, Ramaphosa said there’s nothing wrong with learning from the opposition urging ANC councillors to ask what Cape Town and Stellenbosch are doing better. The meeting comes as the ANC braces for a tough 2026 local election battle, with service delivery failures and the rise of the MK party threatening its support.
