South African music icon Stoan continues to inspire with his latest single, “The Way Home”, a deeply personal and uplifting release that marked both his 50th birthday and 30 years in the entertainment industry. First released on May 9, 2024, the song remains a resonant anthem of growth, gratitude, and resilience more than a year later.
Produced by Stoan alongside Pex Africah, “The Way Home” blends heartfelt storytelling with soulful instrumentation. Enriched by the warm harmonies of Stoan’s daughters, Akhila and Zawati, the track is a tribute to self-discovery, the strength found in life's challenges, and the beauty of returning to one’s core purpose.
Expertly mixed and engineered by Mark Watson, the song combines emotive melodies with reflective lyrics, reminding listeners that detours and hardships are often part of a greater journey.
“This song is a celebration of how far I’ve come—the lessons, the love, and the victories that have shaped me,” Stoan shared. “It’s about embracing the journey, trusting the process, and realising that every detour was part of the divine path home.”
“The Way Home” launched a new creative chapter for Stoan, who has since continued to explore new musical ventures, storytelling through film, and community-driven philanthropy. A year on, the track continues to connect with audiences and stands as a powerful milestone in Stoan’s enduring artistic legacy.
The single is available on all major streaming platforms.
